Educational Information:
For centuries, Native American tribes in the western region used all parts of a pine tree for medicinal purposes. The Abenaki, Iroquois, Micmac, Mohegan and Shinnecock tribes used a bark decoction for coughs and colds. The Algonquins used bark as a poultice for colds and the Chippewas used it to treat cuts and wounds. The Delaware and Ontario tribes also made a pitch pine drawing salve.

In Connecticut, we have White Pine, a shorter scruffier tree than its western cousin the Ponderosa. Today, pine needles and bark are harvested and dried for use in teas, tinctures, and infused oils. Pine resin is the golden jewel of the tree as it has incredible healing properties.

White Pine has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, expectorant, diuretic, antibacterial, stimulant, antispasmodic and astringent properties.

Ingredients: infused pine olive oil, coconut oil, beeswax, essential oil
