Seaweed Sea Salt Soap

While studying one of my herbal units, I learned the medicinal powers of sea salt and seaweed. That got me thinking…how can I create a soap capturing those wonderful qualities, using the ingredients from the sea?

After weeks of experimenting, I finally came up with a scent to go with the seaweed and sea salt in the soap. I found that if I allowed 4 essential oils steep together for weeks, I had the scent I was looking for!  The base notes are lavender and citrus. It’s a fresh clean scent that smells like fresh clean beach air. 

Seawater contains minerals that are great for the skin and other systems of the body. The good news is that those same minerals are also found in sea salt. Natural seaweed helps detoxify, cleanse, tone and moisturize the skin as well as polish dull, lifeless skin.

Ingredients: Olive oil, coconut oil, safflower oil, avocado oil, fresh local goat's milk, seaweed, sea salt, essential oils.
